The Gibson J-45 was the legendary guitar manufacturer's answer to the iconic Martin Dreadnought series. Gibson wanted an instrument with the same volume, but a frequency profile that was designed to complement male vocals. The result was the J-45, a booming guitar that is perfect for any style of playing. In the late 60s Gibson offered a slightly different design with a "square sholder" body that resembles the Dreadnought we all know and love. This maintained the classic J-45 feel while adding a little more bass to the guitars sound.

This Gibson J-45 comes with a pickup system that did NOT require holes to be drilled into the sound hole. This pickup can either be used, or could be removed without compromising the iconic look of this vintage instrument. Please note, this is a vintage instrument, the finish is cracked as almost all vintage Gibson acoustics did. If you have any questions on specific wear or age marks please ask. The guitar plays beautifully.

Any instrument worth playing is also worth protecting. The original Hard Shell case from the Gibson Bozeman factory is included with this guitar.
